Please join us this year for two concerts of spooky organ music on Halloween, played by University Chaplaincy Music Director Thomas Dawkins at the historic 1883 Hook & Hastings organ of Goddard Chapel.

The first concert will be a Trick or Treat Kick Off concert at 4:50 p.m., children and costumes are welcome. The program will be half an hour including Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in d minor, BWV 565 and Gounod’s Funeral March for a Marionette. Candy and cider will be available afterwards in the common room.

The second concert will be our traditional late-night All Hallows concert at 11:50 p.m., with costumes optional, but encouraged. The program will be about an hour with video game music for the organ by Koji Kondo, Boëllmann’s Suite Gothique, Virgil Fox’s stunning organ arrangement of Bach’s Komm süßer Tod, an arrangement of Saint-Saëns Danse Macabre for piano and organ featuring graduate student Jason Zhang, and Bach’s iconic Toccata and Fugue in d minor, BWV 565. Cider doughnuts and warm drinks will be served in the lobby and on the patio (weather permitting) after the concert.
