Recalling the forgotten kingdom of medieval Spain’s convivenica period marked by interfaith and multicultural intersection, the Guy Mendilow Ensemble beautifully recasts the traditional Spanish-Jewish music known as Ladino. This music incorporates elements from Spain, North Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe with warm harmonies and spellbinding rhythms through songs and legends of sailors and love lost at sea, fantastic dreams, and the intrigue of kings and queens.

Step into the world of the Ladino Music Project for a musical voyage of adventure, humor, and rich emotional storytelling. Free and open to the public. Sponsored by: Tufts University Chaplaincy, Tufts Latino Center, Tufts Hillel, Music Department, and Association for College and University Religious Affairs (ACURA).
