Find Community. Get Support.

Graduate and professional school can be intellectually demanding, professionally focused, and deeply rewarding. The Office of Religious and Philosophical Life offers opportunities to connect with others, explore questions of meaning and purpose, engage with religious and philosophical traditions, and be supported throughout your time at Tufts.

Whether you're seeking community, reflection, spiritual care, or simply a place to belong, you're welcome here.

Support for Graduate Students

We serve graduate and professional students across the Boston Health Sciences, Grafton, Medford/Somerville, and SMFA campuses. Our chaplains support students of all religious, spiritual, ethical, and philosophical backgrounds, and serve as confidential resources for members of the Tufts community.

Graduate Student Communities

Graduate student organizations offer opportunities to build relationships, explore shared traditions and values, and connect with peers across schools and campuses.

Looking for Something Different?

Don't see a community that reflects your interests, tradition, or experience? Our team can help connect you with resources, existing communities, or information about starting a new graduate student group.

Weekly Gatherings and Programs

Looking for ways to connect beyond your academic program? Join weekly gatherings, discussions, celebrations, observances, and other opportunities designed to foster community and personal growth.

Navigating Community Wisely

Exploring new communities is an important part of graduate life. We encourage students to learn about the hallmarks of healthy communities and how to recognize high-pressure or controlling groups.
