Faith is a Verb: A Life of Organizing Justice
Tuesday, April, 26th, 2016 Past Programs 2015-16
Thursday, April 28, 12-1:30 pm, Goddard Chapel
In our third event in the Faith Is a Verb series, we will welcome Sister Tess Browne, who has been organizing for labor justice and racial justice for more than three decades. As a Sister of Charity of Nazareth, she has devoted her life to working for justice in solidarity with those who are oppressed, especially the economically poor and women. In this inter-generational gathering, we will have a chance to hear her story, learn from her experience and glean wisdom from her lifetime of organizing. Bring your questions, provocations, and passion to the table as we welcome this great opportunity to connect deeply with one of Boston’s most connected and committed activists.
