Tufts University Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration 2015
On Thursday January 21, 2015, Tufts University hosted its annual celebration of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the theme, “A Revolution of Values: Poverty, Peace, and Power.” The Reverend Dr. King is well known for his role in the civil rights movement, but fewer are aware of his focus on poverty, peace, and power. The annual celebration reflected on what it would mean to undergo a revolution of these values through the words of both the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Tufts students. The event included musical performances by Tufts University’s S-Factor and the Chaplaincy’s organist Dr. Janet Hunt. To see a recording of the event, please click on the video below:
