Tuesday, April, 11th, 2017 Past Programs 2016-2017
Wednesday, April 19, 6-7:30 pm (dinner provided), Goddard Chapel
After 7 years of studying theology, Christine originally entered the field of public health with the goal of advocating for the better integration of spiritual care into Western medical care. The fall she began at Harvard School of Public Health, protesters had been in the streets in Ferguson, MO for a month after the police shooting of Michael Brown. These events commanded her attention and led her to shift her research to the intersection of racism, religion and health. Christine will share the story of her journey into activism and organizing, as demanded by, informed by, and sustained by her Catholic faith and values.
