During summers, the Tufts Humanist Chaplaincy partners with the Humanist Community at Harvard to organize service projects open to people of all faith backgrounds in the Boston area. In the past summers we’ve packed meals for the food insecure, we’ve cooked at food shelters, and cleaned up local parks and streets.

For our first service project this summer, we’ll be working with the City of Cambridge Public Works department to clean up a section of Massachusetts Avenue not far from where both Tufts and the Humanist Community at Harvard are located. We’ll meet at 1:30pm on July 17th at the Humanist Hub in Cambridge (30 JFK Street, right in Harvard Square) and walk to the cleanup area from there.

Look out for more information about a meal packing project in August. If you’d like to be a part of planning these projects, you can join the Humanist Hub’s volunteer service committee! E-mail walker.bristol@tufts.edu for more information about how to get involved there.
