Out of Order Film Screening and Dinner Discussion
Wednesday, November, 1st, 2017
Many queer individuals have quickly learned that rule changes don’t guarantee true welcome. Out of Order is a groundbreaking feature documentary revealing the complex and painful struggles faced by LGBTQ+ faith leaders as they confront entrenched bigotry and work to build loving support within their churches. The film offers audiences a glimpse into what it looks like to navigate the reality of gender transition and lived sexual identity as a person of faith. Join us for the film (60 min) and a dinner conversation with Alex McNeill, one of the folks profiled in Out of Order and the Executive Director of More Light Presbyterians, an LGBTQ+ advocacy group within the Presbyterian Church (USA). Sponsored by the Tufts Catholic Chaplaincy and Tufts Protestant Chaplaincy. Co-sponsored by the Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church, the Department of Religion, and the LGBT Center.
