Spirituality Hour, Wednesday 7 PM
This mid-week gathering is a chance to check in with one another and to experiment with different kinds of spiritual practice. Our tradition is vast. And sometimes figuring out how to pray can be daunting. These sessions are a way in–offering students a moment of pause, to quiet the mind, settle the spirit and engage in meaningful reflection time. Here are some of the methods of prayer that we have explored just this year: Lectio Divina, Visio Divina, Letter Writing as a Spiritual Practice, Music Meditation, Ignatian Contemplation with the Daily Gospel, The Examen, Storytelling/Storyreceiving as a Spiritual Practice, Psalm Study.
Students contemplate a wide collection of Holy Week inspired art during a session of Visio Divina.
Retreats (Fall and Spring)
Each year, the Catholic Chaplaincy and the Catholic Community at Tufts collaborate to plan and co-lead two retreats. This year, we have shifted gears to support online mini-retreats for students to come together in prayer, reflection and respite. As healthy and safety guidelines permit, we look forward to returning to the Cape Cod seaside for our annual February retreat.
