09/22/2016 - Medford/Somerville, Mass. - Protestant Chaplain Dan Bell poses for a photo on September 22, 2016. (Alonso Nichols/Tufts University)

Welcome! My name is Dan Bell and I’m the Protestant Chaplain at Tufts University. The Protestant community at Tufts is a strong and vibrant one representing a number of denominational backgrounds and affiliations. Our backbone is the Protestant Student Association (PSA) and its Executive Board. I work closely with them to offer programming that meets the spiritual needs of students on campus. Our primary gathering time is Sunday at 7pm in Goddard Chapel, where we meet for Protestant Evening Worship (PEW). We also offer several weekday programs, including a book club, Bible study, and Thursday night prayer and spiritual formation.

1426614_614830308581113_1479835719_nThe Protestant Chaplaincy and PSA strive to be a radically welcoming and inclusive community. We invite people of every race, color, national and ethnic origin, age, religious background, veteran status, ability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression to bring the fullness of who they are into this community. All are welcome. All are valued as part of the community. All are loved by God.

If you have any questions, or would like to meet for coffee, I would love to connect with you! Please don’t hesitate to email or call me. I wish you God’s PEACE and LIGHT.
