On Saturday, October 3rd, the Somerville Homeless Coalition<\/a> will be hosting it’s 20th annual 5k fundraiser race<\/a>. The SHC is tasked with providing support and advocating for people struggling with homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The Tufts Freethought Society<\/a> and the Humanist Chaplaincy at Tufts have partnered with SHC in the past, prioritizing combatting homelessness in the area around Tufts and building connections between Tufts students and the Somerville community.<\/p>\n

\"\"This year, we’re continuing that partnership by providing volunteer opportunities for students who want to help make the road race possible and helping sign people up who wish to participate.<\/p>\n

If you’re interested in running in the race, you can sign up on the SHC Road Race website<\/a>. Registration is 25$ unless you raise 100$ or more.<\/p>\n
