Hope everyone is well, and excited for the start of a new year!<\/p>\n

Over the past four years, the Humanist Community at Harvard has worked with a variety of secular and faith-based organizations in the Boston area, including the Tufts Freethought Society and the Humanist Chaplaincy at Tufts, to sponsor meal packing projects supporting food insecure families in the Greater Boston area. Last year, they expanded from hosting the projects once a semester to running them throughout the summer as well.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, August 30th, the Humanist Community at Harvard\u00a0alongside the Humanist Chaplaincy at Tufts will be hosting an Interfaith Meal Packing project at 1:30pm, working\u00a0to pack 4000 meals over\u00a0about two hours. Those interested can sign up for a shift either at 2:00pm or 2:45pm, where they will be assigned to a part of the meal packing line and encouraged to talk with and learn about their fellow volunteers while they work. There will also be space for interfaith dialogue and refreshments served while people aren’t actively packing. All are welcome irrespective of background and the space is fully accessible. The event will be held at the Humanist Hub, 30 JFK Street (4th floor), Cambridge, MA.<\/p>\n

The program is organized by End Hunger NE, who are quickly approaching a grand total of 10,000,000 meals across all their past programs! We’re excited to keep helping them reach this goal.<\/p>\n
