Welcome to the Buddhist Chaplaincy at Tufts!<\/p>\n

Buddhist Chaplaincy at Tufts is here for you. Tufts Mindfulness Sangha is looking forward to welcoming you. We are here to listen to your story and questions. Buddhist Chaplaincy creates a safe space for you to listen to, realize and practice teachings of the Buddha. Many spiritual journeys always begin with non-spiritual questions. As the Buddha himself starts his spiritual journey with a non-spiritual question. Your question can be spiritual or non-spiritual. We are here to help you begin your journey.<\/p>\n

This coming spring, in 2025, we are excited to host a special program titled \"Tea & Poetry\". We read Therigatha: Poems of the The First Buddhist Women for this program. The Therigatha\u2014poems that recount the life stories, challenges, and spiritual triumphs of these remarkable women\u2014offers profound insights into resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of spiritual friendship. Through their voices, we learn to nurture our own friendships, deepen our respect for one another, and enrich our shared journey toward compassion and understanding.<\/p>\n

We hope you'll join us in this meaningful exploration of the wisdom and inspiration passed down by the Buddhist nuns, and we look forward to welcoming you into our community. Together, we can grow in friendship, spirituality, and the shared pursuit of a more compassionate world.<\/p>\n

Welcome from the Sangha Community<\/h1>\n

\u201cSangha has been the glue of my Tufts experience. It is a safe place to land after days of running on end and opens doors to people whom I can traverse the winding paths of college with.
\nI am immensely grateful for a sangha who I can learn with, live with, practice with, and be one with amongst the chaos. In a world where so much seems divided, our humble sangha stays united.\u201d<\/p>\n
