Spring Break Multifaith Exploration in Northern California

March 18-25, 2018

Enjoy spring break with fellow Jumbos in this multifaith exploration of spiritual and contemplative practices at religious sites and retreat centers in and around the San Francisco Bay area and Napa County in Northern California.
Site visits include the Green Gulch Zen Retreat Center and Organic Farm, the Jewish Studio Project, Grace Cathedral, Church Divinity School of the Pacific, the Shadhiliyya Sufi Center, and the Sikh Gudwara of the San Francisco Bay Area. The trip, led by Tufts University Chaplain The Reverend Greg McGonigle and Muslim Chaplain Celene Ibrahim, provides a unique opportunity for learning about and reflecting on different forms of contemplative practice.

The subsidized cost of the trip is $1,500 per person; including all airfare, ground transportation, lodging in retreat centers, meals, site visits, and activities. Lodging is in retreat centers in single, double, and some triple occupancy rooms. Additional financial aid may be available to those with need; please contact us if you would need this support to attend.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through November 20, 2017. Spaces are limited. Payments should made by check payable to “Tufts University Chaplaincy” and are due by Monday, December 11, 2017. All Tufts students may apply.
